The Flin Flon Bombers held their 2023/24 Main Camp this past weekend at the Whitney Forum. It was a weekend full of action, from returning players to new signees and local guys, there was a lot of talent out on the ice. The camp started Friday during the day with practice for the three teams (Green, Yellow, Blue), followed by games on into Saturday and the Final (Jonny Doogs Cup) on Saturday night.

Yellow beat Blue 4-2
Blue beat Green 3-1
Green beat Yellow 3-1
Saturday:
Yellow beat Blue 7-5
Green beat Yellow 3-1
Green beat Blue 6-5
Blue beat Yellow 1-0 (Semi-final)
Green beat Blue 5-2 (Jonny Doogs Cup)
The weekend concluded on Sunday afternoon with the Maroon vs. White game. It was a very exciting and high paced game that ended with Team Maroon taking the victory 3 – 2 over Team White.
Team Maroon goals came from veterans, Alexi Sylvestre and Dawson Karol, along with newcomer, Reid Arberry, from Fort St. John, BC.
Team White goals came from returning player, Aiden Chow, along with Cohen Senft, who played in 1 game with the Bombers last season.
Four goalies saw action during the game with returning goalie, Kenny Marquart, stopping all 17 shots he faced and Ryan Bain, out of Hanley, Saskatchewan, stopping 7 out of 9 for Team Maroon.
Harmon Laser Hume stopped 11 out of 12 with Flin Flon local, Logan Grenier, stopping 7 out of 9.
The Bombers headed to the Roy H. Johnston Arena in The Pas yesterday to start off the pre-season against The Blizzard.
The Bombers took an early 2-0 lead with goals from Jack Bechard and Koen Senft. After three unanswered goals, the Bombers found themselves down one in the beginning of the third period. Ryder Mucha tied up the game for the Bombers midway through the third but it wasn’t enough as the Blizzard sealed the deal with 34 seconds left in the game, winning 4-3.
Returning Goalie, Kenny Marquart, stopped all 12 shots that came his way. Ryan Bain stopped 10 out of the 14 shots he faced.
The Bombers play the Blizzard again in their second pre-season game this Friday at the Whitney Forum at 7:30 PM CST.
